Complete List of Block Terminals with Description
No 1 – Small one pair round external type moulded BT.
No 2 – four double screwed terminal plates mounted on a rectangular base with metal cover.
No 3 – eight double screwed terminal plates mounted on a rectangular base with metal cover.
No 6 – for terminating 10 pair cables (except paper covered) inside buildings – supersedes Case Distribution 20 wire
No 8 – 10 pair for terminating paper covered cables inside buildings only – Superseded by Blocks, Terminal No 17 for external use.
No 9 – 16 pair for terminating paper covered cables inside buildings only – Superseded by Blocks, Terminal No 17 for external use.
No 12 – 10 pair for terminating 40lb and 70lb paper covered cables. Superseded by Blocks, Terminal No 17 for external use.
No 13 – 4 pair for terminating paper covered cables (small rectangular moulded BT)
No 14 – 14 pair for terminating 40lb and 70lb paper covered cables. Superseded by Blocks, Terminal No 17 for external use.
No 16A – External connection joint box with jelly crimps, for external use.
No 17 – 15 pair for terminating cables on terminal poles and external distribution. Supersedes BT’s 8, 9, 12 & 14 (round moulded BT)
No 18 – For terminating 2 pair polythene cables (small round moulded BT)
No 20/ – moulded bakelite terminal blocks available as –
No 20/2 – Black – Two connection plates
No 20/4 – Black, Green, Ivory, Red – four connection plates
No 20/8 – Black, Green, Ivory, Red – eight Connection plates

No 36B – 12 two way terminals – for use with 7xx type telephones, has conduit box drillings.
No 37B – 25 two way terminals – for use with 7xx type telephones, has conduit box drillings.
No 41 – 16 pair for terminating polythene cables on terminal poles and external distribution.
No 41A – 20 pair for terminating polythene cables on terminal poles and external distribution.
No 42 – For use where lightening protection is required at junction of underground cable and overhead plant.
No 45A – 20 pair screw/solder internal block terminal.
No 45B Grey – similar to BT45A but suitable for terminating 1, 2 or 3 cords with maximum of 50 conductors. Used with Telephone House No 500.
No 49A – 3 two way terminals for terminating overhead lead-ins at subscribers premises when protection not required, grey & ivory.
No 50 – 12 or 24 terminal connection block, fits inside a standard single metal back box and is covered with Cover No 67.
No 51/12A –Terminal block for fixing in standard square conduit outlet boxes, 12 terminals.
No 51/24A –Terminal block for fixing in standard square conduit outlet boxes, 24 terminals.
No 51/1A – Terminal Strips for use in Boxes Connexion No 1A, 2A and 3A and Cases No 155A, 156A and 157A.
No 52A – eight terminals and four straps for use with 7XX type telephones, 7xx colours.
No 58A/12 – 12way pressure pad, twin screw flexible type. Can be cut to smaller sizes, first use Motorway phones.
No 60A – For internal & external connexions at subscribers premises. Included provision for mounting Protectors Electrode No 1B. Available in grey and ivory.
No 62 – 36 amp/500 volt power distribution. 62A = 4 way and 62B = 6 way.
No 66A & 66B – For terminating 2 pair & 5 pair cables; 2 pair and 3 pair inserts to be fitted as required.
No 71A – For terminating Cables PET within hollow distribution poles.
No 72A – 20 pair BT complete with 11 metre tail of 20 pair PE sheathed cable for use on poles and external distribution.
No 77A – 3 pair IDC to 3 pair IDC terminal block
No 77B – 3 pair screw to 3 pair screw terminal block
No 77BP – As 77A but with a break-out cable terminated with a 431A plug.
No 78A/B – 4 pair IDC to 4 pair IDC terminal block.
No 80A/B – 3 way IDC to three screw for terminating lead-in at subs premises.
No 80A/RF2 – 3 way IDC to three screw for terminating lead-in at subs premises. with RF filter, not compatible with ADSL.
No 80B/RF3 – 3 way IDC to three screw for terminating lead-in at subs premises. with RF filter, compatible with ADSL.
No 81A – Provides master termination & circuitry for installing in a box or trunking (used with LJU6C).
No 84A – 3 pair IDC to 3 pair screw terminal block.
No 85B – Used for housing connections only, no terminals other than an earth terminal.
No 89A – 6 pair connection box, incorporates 12 separate IDC terminals.
BT92A – Used in RedCare (Telecom Red) installations to connect subscriber line to alarm panel. Similar to 80A
